Prior to establishing a private practice, Dr. Bailey, a native of Mississippi, attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Bailey completed his residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as Chief Resident from 1989-1990. He has been in private practice since moving to Florence in 1990.

Dr. Bailey and his wife, Gina, have 3 children: Bethany Gober and her husband Derek; Trey Bailey and his wife, Meghan; and Nate Bailey. They have one grandchild, Bailey Ann Gober. His interests include Alabama football, gardening, and spoiling Bailey Ann.

Dr. Desselle finished medical school with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from LSUMC-Shreveport in 1997. He then completed a general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, in 2003. While there he completed a research year, in the trauma laboratory of Dr. Timothy Fabian, studying the immunologic effects of blunt chest trauma. He initially began as a trauma and general surgeon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but later moved his family to the shoals area in 2009, initially working mostly at Helen Keller Hospital, and later at NAMC. Dr Desselle joined TVSG in 2017.

Dr Desselle has wide ranging experience in trauma and emergency surgery, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, breast and endocrine surgery as well as surgical endoscopy. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of surgeons. He has been involved in resident and student education, and has been on clinical faculty at LSUHSC New Orleans, and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. He loves the shoals area, and is happy to call this his adopted home.

Robin is a native of Florence, AL. She attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then attended the University of Alabama – Birmingham for her Masters in Adult & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Robin and her husband, Jared, have two girls; Reese and Maebry. Robin’s interests include church activities, traveling, Alabama football, cooking, camping and exercise.

Amy Holt, MSN, AGACNP-BC is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees.

Before joining Tennessee Valley Surgery Group earlier this year, Amy worked as a Registered Nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, North Alabama Medical Center, and Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in the Cardiovascular and Medical Intensive Care Units.

Originally from Haleyville, AL, she now resides in Florence with her husband, Jon, and two-year-old son, Wells. Amy looks forward to meeting new people and serving the needs of the community.
